Ahead of the Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies, the Ambani residence, Antilia, in Mumbai was lavishly decorated. On July 8, a host of celebrities including Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday, Orry, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, Shikhar and Veer Pahariya, Vedang Raina, and Arjun Kapoor made grand entrances in traditional attire.
Salman Khan notably arrived initially in a black kurta but was later seen wearing a yellow one, with his hair neatly tied back to avoid getting turmeric in it. Ranveer Singh also drew attention, covered in haldi from head to toe, indicating his enjoyment of the event.
Rumoured couple, Khushi Kapoor and Vedang Raina also changed their traditional outfits into matching night suits after celebrating the ceremony of Haldi.
Tina Ambani and Anil Ambani, the groom’s aunt and uncle, were among the first to leave, happily posing for photos in regular clothes, drenched in haldi. Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aaditya Thackeray also graced the ceremony, their smiles and turmeric-smeared faces reflecting the joyous atmosphere. Mona Mehta, Shloka Ambani’s mother, was also seen with them, adding to the event’s familial warmth.
Orry and Javed Jafferi’s daughter Alaviaa Jafferi were spotted leaving the Ambani house. They smiled for the paps as they headed out.
The celebration was marked by laughter, music, and the vibrant yellow of turmeric, making it a memorable start to the wedding festivities. The elaborate decorations and the presence of high-profile guests underscored the significance of the occasion for both families. The Ambanis and the Merchants ensured that the Haldi ceremony was not only a traditional affair but also a star-studded event, blending cultural rituals with modern glamour.
